For just over two weeks, the conflict between Israel and Palestine has once again had a new episode marked by extreme violence that, for the moment, seems to have no end in sight due to the apparent reserved attitude on the part of the international community.
Within this context, the global logistics sector is clearly affected by the need to reinvent itself once again in order to deal with this crisis that is already beginning to wreak havoc on the Western economy in an ingenious way.
Logistics and other companies have begun to suffer a series of consequences as a result of this new conflict that has just begun.
Impact on international logistics in the aftermath of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict
The Israel-Palestine conflict has forced logistics companies and other brands around the world to apply special measures if they really want to cope with the negative effects that this sad event is having on the global economy.
Below, we show some of the measures taken by various brands since the war began:
- Adani Ports, a major operator of the port of Haifa located in northern Israel, continues to operate with certain extra security measures while they continue to monitor the situation closely.
- FedEx has suspended all its services in the country.
- H&M, a major clothing retailer, has temporarily closed its stores in Israel.
- UPS, another large global carrier, has also canceled its deliveries in that country.
However, the impact of the war between Israel and Palestine has had some consequences that affect logistics in every way.
Consequences of the conflict on global logistics
